All our clinicians are qualified medical people who, on top of this, have undertaken Laser Safety training and full training in the use of the laser. They are specialists in the treatment of onychomycosis and verruca’s with laser.

Renée is co-owner of the business with John. She has been a nurse all her working life.

Along with her medical background and training she has completed a Laser Safety training course in Melbourne and had comprehensive training in the use of the laser from the suppliers. Since starting the business in 2014 she has treated hundreds of patients with the laser.

When not at the clinic she manages and nurses at a GP practice on the North Shore.

Additionally, she sits on the ProCare Networks board and she is the nurse representative on the National Influenza Strategy Group, a member of the NZ College of Primary Health Care Nurses and a member of the Practice Managers and Administrators of NZ.

Renée loves to cook, cross stitch and go fishing, all of which she excels at.

Alan is a retired GP in is early 60’s. His working life has been on the North Shore of Auckland working in a busy medical centre in Takapuna for nearly 30 years. His passions include hockey where his association with John began. He works part time in the clinic as a Laser Clinician and enjoys the client interaction and the chance to bring his years of General Practice experience to the Clinic.

Carmen is the latest member to join our dynamic health care team at the Laser Nail Clinic.  As a registered and currently practicing Podiatrist, she brings her foot care knowledge and dermatology experience to the PinPointe Laser team.  Carmen is known to be gentle with her clients and wants to ensure that they receive the best possible outcome for their foot concerns.

Having been the principal Podiatrist for a number of Rest Homes and Retirement Villages, Carmen is used to seeing fungal nails and often visits clients in their own home.  After four years working in various Podiatry Centres around the greater Auckland region, she now operates her own clinic.

Carmen comes from a relatively structured background being brought up in an Army household, going to boarding school in the 1980s and serving nearly two decades herself with the New Zealand Defence Force.  It was during one of her tours overseas working with other cultures and religions where she decided to become a Podiatrist.

John is co-owner of the business with Renée. He has an extensive business background, having run his own software company for the 20 years previous to him and Renée starting the Laser Nail Clinic. His role is over-all management of the business, everything from making sure there is fresh coffee to the marketing and business development. He is also the receptionist on the days Anne-Marie is not on deck.

John is an enthusiastic hockey player and he and Alan won a gold medal in the 2017 Auckland World Masters Games. He also loves fishing but rarely catches more than Renée.

The lovely Anne-Marie is the part time receptionist for the clinic. Her bright and cheerful manner along with her efficiency means that the clinic runs like clockwork when she is on deck.

Her passion is women’s fashion where she works when she is not at the clinic.

She says “I love working at the clinic because it is wonderful to able to help improve our patients quality of life and everybody is so nice”.
